No Cost for Authors

The publication costs for International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies are covered by Academy of Taiwan Information Systems Research. Authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge or page charge.

Duties of Editors

Our Editors, Associate Editors, Editorial Committee Members, and Editorial Staffs (hereinafter referred to as “the editors”) actively work to enhance the quality of the “International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies” (hereinafter referred to as “the journal”). The editors are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted should be published. The editors evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender, ethnic origin, religious belief, or political orientation of the authors. The editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, editorial committee members, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher. Our peer reviewing is blind. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by editors without the express written consent of the authors.

The editors will do their best to anti-plagiarism to make sure the journal is original and no plagiarism/self-plagiarism is allowed.

Duties of Reviewer

Peer review process of the journal assists the editors in making editorial decisions and may also assists the authors to improve the quality of manuscript. The under reviewed manuscripts must be treated as secret and should not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editors.

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Reviewers should call to the editor’s attention if there is any plagiarism and self- plagiarism issue for the manuscript under review. Information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept secret and not used for personal advantage before the manuscript is formally published.

Any reviewer who feels himself/herself unqualified to review the manuscript should notify the editors and excuse himself/herself from the review process.

Reviewers should not consider manuscripts which will lead to conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other connections with authors and their affiliated organization/institute/university/company of the papers.

Duties of Authors

Authors should present an accurate and objective account of the research work. The manuscript should contain sufficient details and references to permit other scholars to replicate the study. Fraudulent, plagiarism, self- plagiarism, or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Authors should not publish manuscripts presenting the same research in more than one journal. Authors should ensure the manuscripts are entirely original.

Proper acknowledgment of the contribution of others must always be given. All those who have made significant contributions to the manuscripts should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author should ensure that all significant contributors are listed as co-authors of the article, and make sure all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscripts.

When an author discovers a significant error/inaccuracy in his/her own published articles, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the editors or publisher to correct the articles.

Copyright / License terms

Before publication, International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies requires the author as the rights holder to sign a Copyright Agreement. Please refer to website for a sample page of this agreement. The International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies will publish articles under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND) which allows others (as well as authors) to reuse the work without permission as long as the work is properly referenced and the use is non-commercial. The International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies hold the copyright so that authors can not submit/publish their articles to any other journals/publications.

Open Access

International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies provides open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater exchange of knowledge, meaning everyone has free and unlimited access to the full-text of articles published in the journal; manuscripts are freely available without subscription or price barriers.

No Cost for Authors

Print Journal

The electronic file of all article in the journal is open access. However, the journal also provides the journal in the print format. Subscription fee is need for print format journal.
